Bio
Mirta Zaliauskas is an Argentine contemporary visual artist working with mixed media, drawing, engraving and recycled materials. Her work explores transformation, landscapes and human emotion through material experimentation.

Mirta Zaliauskas is a visual artist from Quilmes with an extensive trajectory in the visual arts. She studied at the "Carlos Morel" School of Fine Arts, where she graduated as a Professor of Visual Arts and completed the Higher Education degree in Sculpture.
Dedicated mainly to sculpture in various materials and to drawing, she has worked in multiple techniques, constantly exploring the different expressive possibilities of art.
In 1995 she undertook a study trip to Europe, where she worked in various workshops, including Botero's workshop in Carrara. There she deepened her skills in bronze and marble sculpture. She has exhibited at the National Museum of Vilnius (Lithuania) and in galleries in Rome (Italy).
Throughout her career she has participated in numerous salons and exhibitions, including:

For over 25 years she has taught in public schools in Quilmes. She has exhibited permanently at Quilmes Apart Hotel, worked at the Museo Penitenciario in La Plata and served on the jury of various competitions.
